Install Microsoft Adpcm Audio Codec

Includes looping support, with loop point alignment. To determine what codec was used with a specific file, play the file in the Player, if possible. While the file is playing, right-click the file in the library, and then select Properties. On the File tab, look at the Audio codec and Video codec sections. Use a non-Microsoft codec identification tool. Several are available on the Internet.

Hi, Anyone know how to reinstall Microsoft IMA ADPCM Codec and Microsoft ADPCM Codec in Windows Xp without reinstalling Windows XP? I found that the list of my installed audio codecs becomes shorter after I uninstalled some stupid codec packs. And two most important codecs (Microsoft IMA ADPCM and Microsoft ADPCM) are missing, not mention 1. Microsoft CCITT G.711 Audio Codec 2.

Microsoft GSM 6.10 Audio Codec 3. Windows Media Audio 4. I can't believe this. So anyone know how to reinstall it in Windows XP? Have you tried installing the audio codecs option in 'Add Hardware' in the Control Panel.

You need to install them one by one so select either of these and click Next. This should re-install the codec (you may need your Windows XP CD and might need to restart the computer before the codec works). I got a couple of AVI files which seem to be encoded using Divx5 and I can't get the audio to play. I know it must be missing codec. I'm using MS Media Player 9 under WinXP and when I load the files, it tries to download a missing codec but fails to do so. At first, I didn't have the video either, so I downloaded Divx5 bundle and installed it.

Now I get the video, but no audio. I installed ACE Mega CodecS Pack. It partially solved the problem: I had audio, but the video was shaky, even MPEGs or older AVI movie files which used to play perfectly. So I was now able to get the the audio, but the video output was awful. I know I have a pretty slow computer, but why files the used to play well were now all shaky? So I uninstalled ACE Mega CodecS Pack and tried Nimo Pack instead. The same shakiness occured.

Installing the AC3 codec doesn't solve the problem either.
